Masked Man

( It’s a bustling afternoon at the café. The sun casts a golden glow through the large windows, illuminating the tables filled with chattering customers. Min YN, dressed in her simple barista uniform, moves gracefully behind the counter, preparing drinks. Her demeanor is calm and quiet, eyes focused on her work as she takes orders with a polite smile. At a glance, she seems like just another unremarkable employee—until the door bursts open, and a trio of loud, arrogant girls enters. The air instantly shifts as Meena, Alisa, and Gia strut in, drawing stares from the other customers.)

Meena: (snaps her fingers sharply at YN) "Hey, you! Yeah, you! Stop daydreaming and take our order already."

Min YN: (looks up with a polite smile) "Of course. What can I get for you today?"

Alisa: (flipping her hair with an annoyed huff) "Three iced lattes, extra whipped cream. And don’t make us wait forever, got it?"

Gia: (leaning on the counter with a sneer) "And make sure it’s perfect. If it’s too sweet or too watery, we’re not paying a single penny, got that, little miss barista?"

Min YN: (unfazed, writes down their order with steady hands) "Got it. I’ll have them ready shortly."

(The girls exchange smug looks and saunter over to a table in the corner, their high-pitched laughter grating on the ears of nearby customers. As YN prepares their drinks, another waiter, visibly nervous, rushes past with a tray of hot coffees. Suddenly, he trips, spilling one of the cups all over Meena’s expensive outfit. The café falls silent as the girls erupt in outrage.)

Meena: (screaming) "Oh my god! Are you blind?! Do you even realize what you just did, you idiot?!"

Gia: (rises from her seat, pointing accusingly at the waiter) "This dress is worth more than your entire salary! How dare you ruin it?!"

Alisa: (stepping closer to the trembling waiter) "I swear, I’ll get you fired for this! Do you even know who you’re messing with?!"

Waiter: (stammering, on the verge of tears) "I-I’m really sorry, ma'am... It was an accident... I didn’t mean to—"

Min YN: (calmly steps forward, positioning herself between the waiter and the enraged girls) "He’s already apologized. We’ll cover the cleaning costs for your dress, but there’s no need to make a scene."

Meena: (turning her fury onto YN, her eyes narrowing) "And who do you think you are, huh? Some savior of waiters? Stay in your lane, barista girl."

Alisa: (crosses her arms, glaring) "You really think a few bucks will fix this? You’d better come up with more than that if you don’t want trouble."

Min YN: (voice steady, her polite smile unwavering) "I’m simply trying to resolve this without disturbing the other customers. But if you keep causing trouble, I’ll have to ask you to leave."

Gia: (scoffs, stepping closer to intimidate YN) "Oh really? You think you can throw us out? I’d love to see you try."

Min YN: (leans in slightly, her eyes flickering with a hint of something darker) "Trust me... you don’t want to test me."

(The air around them seems to grow colder as YN’s gaze hardens, her calm exterior hiding the deadly presence she’s known for in the underworld. For a moment, Meena hesitates, caught off guard by the sudden intensity in YN’s eyes. Sensing that they’ve lost the upper hand, the girls exchange uncertain glances.)

Meena: (begrudgingly backing down) "Fine. Whatever. Just get our drinks right this time."

Min YN: (straightens up, her expression once again calm and composed) "Your drinks will be ready shortly. Please enjoy the rest of your stay."

(As YN turns back to the counter, a ghost of a smirk plays on her lips. The trio has no idea who they were dealing with today. But Min YN is content to let them believe they won this round—for now.)

(After finishing their drinks, Meena crumples up a few bills and tosses them toward YN’s face. The money grazes her cheek, but YN doesn’t flinch. She simply watches the trio, her eyes momentarily narrowing as they laugh and strut out of the café.)

Alisa: (mockingly) "Maybe if you worked harder, you wouldn’t be stuck in this dump!"

Gia: (blowing a mocking kiss) "Enjoy your sad little life, loser!"

(YN watches them leave, her eyes briefly flickering with an unreadable intensity before she resumes her work, her expression returning to its usual calm.)

AT NIGHT

( late at night. Outside a high-end club, the street is dark and almost deserted. The girls are stumbling out, drunk and loud, their laughter echoing in the empty street. Without warning, a sleek black car pulls up beside them. Before they can react, masked men leap out, grabbing them. The girls scream and struggle, but they’re overpowered.)

Meena: (panicking, trying to break free) "Let go of me! Do you know who I am?!"

Alisa: (shrieking in fear) "Someone, help us! Please!"

Gia: (sobbing, trying to plead) "We can pay you! Just let us go!"

(The men force them into the car. The doors slam shut, and the car speeds away into the darkness. The girls’ screams fade as they are knocked unconscious. When they wake up, they find themselves tied to chairs in a dimly lit warehouse. Their bodies are sore and bruised, the cold air biting at their skin.)

---

(The girls blink against the blinding light, gasping as they take in their surroundings. Menacing figures loom in the shadows, and in front of them stands the masked leader, a tall figure dressed entirely in black. The leader’s voice, calm and icy, cuts through the silence.)

Masked Leader : "Well, well... seems like the tables have turned, haven’t they?"

Meena: (trembling, her voice cracking) "W-Who are you? What do you want with us?!"

Leader: (leaning in closer, the mask hiding their identity completely) "What I want... is to teach you a lesson. You thought you could humiliate people without consequences? Tonight, you learn what it feels like to be at someone else's mercy."

Alisa: (crying, her voice desperate) "Please, we’re sorry! We didn’t mean it! Just let us go!"

Gia: (sobbing, trying to catch her breath) "We’ll change! We swear! Please don’t hurt us!"

(The masked leader lets out a soft, chilling laugh. The girls shiver as they realize how truly trapped they are.)

Leader: "Sorry? Now you’re sorry? Pathetic. You should’ve thought of that before throwing your weight around."

(The leader signals with a hand, and the masked men step forward, splashing cold water on the girls, slapping them across the face. The girls cry out, but their pleas are ignored. The leader watches, arms crossed, cold and calculating. After a moment, the leader raises a gloved hand, stopping the torture.)

Leader: "You will remember this night every time you think of mistreating someone. You’ll treat others with respect, or next time, no one will hear your screams."

(Meena, shaking with fear, tries to look into the leader’s eyes hidden behind the mask.)

Meena: (voice barely audible) "Who... who are you?"

Masked Leader : (leaning in, voice a whisper) "That’s for me to know... and for you to fear."

(Without revealing her face, the leader turns away, her cold demeanor never breaking. She signals for her men to release the girls, who collapse to the ground, sobbing. The masked figure strides away, disappearing into the shadows, leaving the girls trembling and broken.)

(As the black car drives away, the girls are left to scramble to their feet and run. The identity of the masked leader remains a terrifying mystery, but they’ll never forget the cold eyes that stared into their souls that night.)
